Head of People Operations

Location: Remote across Austria, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, and the United Kingdom; candidates must be based in Europe. Visa sponsorship is available for Germany; candidates working from other countries must already have the right to work there.

What you will do

• Own employment contracts, payroll coordination, visas, employee policies, and People Operations hygiene.
• Maintain SOC 2-related compliance processes and keep records audit-ready.
• Build People analytics and turn attrition, organizational health, and workforce data into leadership decisions.
• Own and evolve People systems including HiBob and Mahana, with a focus on clean data and scalable workflows.
• Document and automate People processes using hirify.global, partnering with workflow automation specialists on complex builds.
• Build a high-trust team of 2–3 specialists in analytics, automation, and systems over the next 12–24 months.

Requirements

• Experience scaling or maturing a People Operations function through a comparable growth stage, such as 500 to 1,000 employees.
• Hands-on ownership of contracts, payroll coordination, visas, employee policies, and SOC 2-related compliance.
• Experience with people analytics, HRIS platforms such as HiBob, and People process automation.
• Ability to combine strategic planning with hands-on execution and to establish consistent processes before automating them.
• Europe-based, with existing right to work in the relevant country unless applying to Germany, where visa sponsorship is available.
• Professional proficiency in English; English is the company language.

• Background spanning People analytics and operations.
