Forward Deployed Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: United States; applicants must currently reside in the United States. Remote work is available, but the role requires working from the customer location as needed and traveling to meet customer objectives.

Salary: USD $95,553–$171,166 per year.

What you will do

• Research customer business processes, identify opportunities for Generative AI, and train end users.
• Support customers from initial concepts through deployment while addressing complex technical challenges.
• Architect, develop, and maintain Generative AI agents and plugins using Python and related frameworks.
• Embed with customers to provide technical leadership and deliver solutions from prototyping to production.
• Build full-stack Generative AI features that automate customer tasks and processes.
• Apply secure coding, data privacy, code quality, and performance optimization practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of relevant software engineering experience, including Python and preferably customer-facing work.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• At least one year of practical experience using Generative AI to build automation and agents.
• Strong prompt engineering skills, experience with Generative AI frameworks, and the ability to deliver secure solutions on leading cloud infrastructures.
• Strong communication and project management skills, including ownership of execution from start to finish.
• Must currently reside in the United States and work from customer locations as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST AI RMF, or CMMC 2.0.
