Manufacturing Operator (Lightning Protection Drill & Press)

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and maintain progressive die presses, auxiliary equipment, saws, assembly tables, automated machinery, and manufacturing tooling.
• Operate heavy-duty equipment to bend, form, stretch, and straighten plates, extrusions, structural shapes, and other materials according to blueprints and templates.
• Assist with setup and operation of automatic and multi-slide equipment performing simultaneous processes.
• Set up dies, forming blocks, and movable or stationary equipment; adjust machine stroke and material feed as needed.
• Inspect materials and work in process using micrometers, calipers, scales, tape measures, calculators, and fixed gauges.
• Move materials with pallet jacks, lift trucks, or cranes when appropriately qualified; report equipment faults and defective materials.

Requirements

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience following work instructions or reading blueprints.
• Experience using hand and power tools; prior light industrial experience is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; lift truck operator experience is recommended.
• Must follow all prescribed safety rules and maintain a safe, orderly work area.
