About the Role

You will conduct fundamental research on companies, industries, earnings, corporate events, and market-moving news. You will develop and defend long/short, volatility, and event-driven trade ideas; build research models and tools; develop industry contacts; and translate fundamental views into options positions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of fundamental equity research experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related or equivalent field
• Valuation and financial modeling skills
• Strong command of Excel
• Passion for investing and taking risk
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to react quickly and accurately to changing market conditions
• Ability to solve math and coding problems quickly and accurately

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental research on companies, industries, and corporate events
• Track earnings, guidance, corporate actions, and market-moving news
• Analyze event plays for timing, positioning, price, and volatility implications
• Pitch and defend long/short, volatility, and event-driven trade ideas
• Build research models, spreadsheets, and tooling using AI and data infrastructure
• Build relationships with sell-side analysts, expert networks, and industry contacts
• Develop an understanding of expressing fundamental views through options
