Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer – Fusion Operations (Java)

Location: Portugal, with hybrid or remote options

Software products support design, manufacturing, media, and entertainment workflows, including a cloud-based Manufacturing Execution System for real-time production visibility.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain real-time, business-critical web applications.
• Build secure, scalable, and maintainable full-stack solutions for manufacturing operations.
• Use AWS services such as S3, SQS, and RDS to develop cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver customer-facing features.
• Review code, improve engineering practices, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in on-call support.
• Develop automated tests, improve system reliability and performance, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience building and delivering scalable web applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Java skills and experience with frontend technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, MVC architecture, relational databases such as MySQL, AWS or similar cloud platforms, and Docker.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and strong problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring or Play, and modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, test automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and build tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Ant.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and a relevant master’s degree.
