Director Marketing (Gaming)

Location: Remote or hybrid in Germany. Workation is available across the EU and at the summer office in Mallorca.

GPORTAL provides online game server hosting and multiplayer gaming experiences for approximately 100 games, including Minecraft, Palworld, Enshrouded, and Battlefield.

What you will do

• Lead the full marketing department across performance marketing, social media, partner management, community management, and graphic design.
• Own marketing budgets, invoices, annual forecasts, market assessments, and core KPIs.
• Develop campaigns with partner studios and manage major commercial moments such as Black Friday.
• Collaborate with technology teams on checkout flows, game updates, and launches.
• Build retention measures, scalable team structures, customer surveys, and actionable marketing reporting.
• Advise the CEO on D2C pricing and present marketing performance to Group and shareholders.

Requirements

• Hands-on leadership experience across holistic marketing functions, including performance marketing, social, community, and creative.
• Strong experience with performance marketing, marketing controlling, budget management, and KPI analysis.
• Experience managing external agencies and freelancers; IT or hosting background is beneficial.
• Strategic, analytical, proactive, reliable, and confident in handling conflict and working under pressure.
• Fluent German and English.

Nice to have

• Gaming industry experience and a strong understanding of gaming culture.
• Experience with influencer management or social media marketing.
