Staff Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Salary: $143,000–$286,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead development and delivery of platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and machine learning frameworks.
• Design scalable, resilient, cloud-native systems using microservices, containers, automation, and strong API practices.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Build AI-driven applications, integrate machine learning components, and develop software prototypes.
• Conduct system design reviews, translate complex requirements into technical solutions, and track success metrics.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote code quality, standardization, and sustainable engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field plus 4 years of software engineering experience; or 6 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns, API design, and platform design and development.
• Experience leading coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and software maintenance activities.
• Ability to conduct detailed design reviews, analyze requirements, and make data-driven technical decisions.
• Effective collaboration and communication across technical and business teams.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant computer science or software engineering field.
• Experience with digital accessibility, WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and inclusive product development.
