Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; onsite at 1375 Crossman Ave

Salary: $143,000–$286,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Deliver platform capabilities covering infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks.
• Drive the full software lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Apply cloud-native architecture to build scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
• Build AI-driven applications with ML components and automation features.
• Lead system design reviews, define success metrics, and improve engineering processes.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and collaborate with stakeholders on technical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field plus 4 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience without the degree requirement.
• Expertise in cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers, and automation.
• Experience with software development lifecycle management, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in API design, software prototyping, and secure, modular software design patterns.
• Ability to lead platform engineering efforts involving infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks.
• Experience with data-driven decision-making, technical mentorship, and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 3 years of software engineering experience.
