Senior Professional Services Principal Consultant (AI)

Location: Full-time on-site at a customer location in Ft. Meade, Maryland; candidates must live in Maryland or a neighboring state and be located in the United States.

Base salary: $170,000–$190,000 per year. The role is also eligible for a commission plan of up to $25,000 at goal.

What you will do

• Advise U.S. government customers on data-platform assessments, modernization roadmaps, and technical solution design.
• Design and implement secure, scalable architectures for data management, integration, search, analytics, and AI-enabled applications.
• Lead delivery from proof of concept through production, including installation, configuration, automation, and operational hardening.
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, event-driven integrations, and streaming solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, data, and infrastructure issues, perform root-cause analysis, and develop remediation plans.
• Create architecture diagrams, runbooks, and deployment guides; mentor consultants and developers and support customer knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with Full Scope or Counter-Intelligence Poly are required.
• On-site work at Ft. Meade, Maryland is required.
• 8+ years of hands-on database experience across NoSQL, graph/RDF triple-store, or relational databases.
• Experience developing enterprise-grade production software using JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with APIs, REST, microservices, event-driven and streaming architectures, containers, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure, JSON/XML, Linux, shell scripting, source control, and CI/CD.
• Experience with analytics, business intelligence, automated testing, data integration, machine learning, LLM applications, vector embeddings, prompt engineering, and RAG.

• Web development experience with React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar technologies.
