Senior Associate, Private Equity / FoF Accounting (Fintech)

Location: New York City, hybrid

Salary: $65,000–$115,000 USD per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

• Maintain financial and investment data in the investment database, including share counts, security locations, and countries of origin.
• Post journal entries and prepare monthly trial balance reports.
• Reconcile investor and investment cash receipts and bank accounts.
• Calculate capital calls and distributions and allocate income to partners according to partnership agreements.
• Prepare and issue quarterly financial statements for each entity in accordance with US GAAP.
• Interact with clients and provide financial information as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• 2–4+ years of fund accounting experience, preferably in private equity.
• Strong knowledge of Bloomberg, financial reporting, and financial products including equities, futures, and fixed income.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in New York City.

• Master’s degree, CPA, or CFA.
