Sample Management Technician (Environmental Laboratory)

What you will do

• Enter sample IDs and required tests from chains of custody into LIMS accurately and completely.
• Receive sample coolers and containers, document receipt, and verify sample integrity.
• Open selected aqueous sample containers to check preservation and create bottle records and labels.
• Transfer samples to and from cold and ambient storage areas and assign completed samples for disposal.
• Maintain clear documentation and communicate sample information, client requests, bottleware needs, volumes, and courier pickups.
• Follow internal standards, policies, and procedures while supporting laboratory operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Advanced English language skills required.
• Strong math, reasoning, customer service, and computer skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on a constant basis.
• Experience in an environmental laboratory and an associate degree in a science-related field are preferred.
