Tax Intern – Tax Technology & AI Enablement (AI)

Location: Montréal, Quebec, at the hirify.global Côte-de-Liesse site; hybrid work with a minimum of two days per week in the office

What you will do

• Analyze tax-team processes to identify repetitive tasks, manual follow-ups, approval flows, files, and friction points that can be simplified or automated.
• Design, prototype, and improve workflows, forms, SharePoint lists, dashboards, tracking tools, templates, and internal applications.
• Use tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Copilot, and Copilot Studio to support process transformation.
• Structure tax-team knowledge, procedures, deadlines, recurring requests, audit trails, and reference information for easier reuse.
• Explore generative AI, intelligent search, agents, and automation use cases while collaborating with Tax, Global Finance Systems & Support, and other internal partners.
• Document solutions, business rules, workflows, procedures, and best practices to support maintenance and reuse.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science, data analytics, information systems, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Completed at least one to two years of undergraduate studies.
• Interest in software development, automation, data, artificial intelligence, analytics, or enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• French and English communication skills are required; English is needed for international meetings, projects, and interactions with colleagues or clients in other provinces or countries.

Nice to have

• Experience or interest in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
• Experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Azure DevOps, or collaboration and work-management tools.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence, agents, intelligent search, knowledge management, retrieval technologies, process automation, or business intelligence.
• Academic, personal, or internship projects involving programming, system integration, automation, data analysis, or data visualization.
