Solution Engineer

Location: Remote, but must be based in or near Dallas, Texas; approximately 30% travel required.

Estimated base salary: $165,000–$216,562, plus equity and commission.

What you will do

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors.
• Work with prospects and customers throughout sales cycles, including demonstrations, proof of concepts, design, and implementation.
• Partner with sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs, develop winning strategies, and close complex enterprise deals.
• Investigate customer architectures and connect business problems with Snowflake Data Architecture.
• Track competitive and complementary technologies and position Snowflake effectively.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and marketing.

Requirements

• Must be based in or near Dallas, Texas.
• 7–8 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in pre-sales.
• Strong presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, including whiteboarding, presentations, and demonstrations.
• Broad experience with large-scale databases, data warehouses, ETL, analytics, cloud technologies, data lakes, data mesh, or data fabric.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.
• Ability to connect customer business problems and architecture with Snowflake solutions and data architecture.

Nice to have

• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in data science or business administration.
• Experience working with global systems integrators such as EY, Deloitte, or Accenture.
