Location: London or Newbury, United Kingdom, with hybrid office attendance 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month

What you will do
- Provide expert competition law advice to business teams, senior leadership, and Board-level stakeholders.
- Support strategic projects, transactions, mergers, joint ventures, wholesale agreements, commercial collaborations, and network-sharing arrangements.
- Advise on product development, pricing, customer propositions, commercial activities, and market opportunities.
- Develop and improve the competition law compliance programme and deliver training and awareness initiatives.
- Support engagement with Ofcom, the CMA, and other regulatory and competition authorities, including investigations, enquiries, information requests, disputes, and litigation.
- Monitor competition law and regulatory developments, identify emerging risks, and build relationships across the organisation.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer, such as a Solicitor, Barrister, Chartered Legal Executive, or equivalent, with significant post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical expertise in competition and regulatory law, including experience with significant transactions and complex commercial arrangements.
- Ability to identify, assess, and communicate legal and commercial risks to senior executives and varied stakeholders.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to prepare complex legal documentation independently.
- University honours degree at second class or above, or an equivalent higher education qualification.
- Ability to work in the London or Newbury hybrid arrangement, attending an office 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month.
