Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Hybrid, with office attendance 3 days per week for residents of the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, and Amsterdam

Salary: $212K–$293K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead infrastructure resiliency initiatives, including recovery mechanisms, tenant isolation, and load-spike handling.
• Improve observability and operability across production systems.
• Build performance-critical, user-facing infrastructure such as real-time event processing.
• Plan and execute scaling initiatives for significant customer growth.
• Partner with engineering teams to deliver reliable product features.
• Share expertise and mentor engineers on observability, rollout strategies, and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Strong understanding of edge cases, failure modes, bottlenecks, and system reliability.
• Experience investigating and debugging complex errors and performance issues.
• Ability to build scalable infrastructure for a high-growth product.
• Ability to mentor engineers on infrastructure best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, AWS, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kafka, Spark Streaming, TypeScript, React, or Tailwind CSS.
