Content Associate, Special Projects (AI)

Location: Cranbury, New Jersey, United States; hybrid schedule

Salary: $42,000–$50,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Eligible for an annual company bonus program or commission incentive.

What you will do

• Research healthcare, pharmaceutical sciences, clinical research, and the business of medicine to inform accurate, timely content.
• Use AI tools for background research, drafting, copyediting, and workflow management while verifying outputs against source material.
• Copyedit and style scientific content according to AMA, AP, and in-house editorial guidelines.
• Develop webinar and Q&A scripts, fact-check deliverables, and assess video content for segmentation and editing needs.
• Post content through in-house CMS platforms and support project administration, filing, and production workflows.
• Collaborate with editors, studio producers, designers, clients, and managers to deliver custom content on tight timelines.

Requirements

• Strong writing, editing, and copyediting skills supported by a portfolio or work samples.
• Active experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for research, drafting, editing, or fact-checking, with independent editorial verification.
• Curiosity and ability to learn medical and scientific terminology and subject matter quickly.
• Familiarity with AMA and AP style and strong organization across multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences communications, medical journalism, writing, or a related field required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Adobe InCopy, InDesign, CMS platforms, and audio or video editing software.
• Familiarity with digital content publishing best practices and SEO fundamentals.
• Experience using AI to improve turnaround time or quality for complex, multi-stakeholder content projects.
