What you will do

• Assess submitted research papers and oversee peer review and editorial processes across the Cell Press Life and Medical Science portfolio.
• Guide authors through publishing decisions and support journal transfers.
• Build working relationships with colleagues, researchers, and the broader scientific community.
• Represent Cell Press at scientific meetings and visits to research institutions.
• Improve editorial processes for editors and reviewers.
• Contribute to cross-journal initiatives shaping the future of science communication.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a relevant life or medical science discipline.
• Ability to think critically about a broad range of scientific issues and learn new research areas.
• Ability to distill complex concepts and communicate them clearly.
• Interest in science communication, publishing trends, and engagement with the scientific community.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
