Tooling Engineer (Plastic Injection Molding)

What you will do

• Coordinate daily activities for tool room personnel and tooling equipment with tool room supervisors.
• Perform and support preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for high- and low-pressure plastic injection molds.
• Operate tooling equipment safely and teach effective machining and production practices.
• Maintain mold history documentation and accurate records in the EAM system.
• Develop components from 3D engineering models and communicate mold requirements to new product development.
• Promote and sustain continuous improvement, 5S, STW, quality, environmental, and safety programs; travel approximately 10%.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of related tool room or mold shop experience.
• 1–3 years of CNC programming and operations experience.
• 1–3 years of applicable CAD experience and the ability to interpret 3D engineering models.
• Ability to work safely in a safety-sensitive role, including from elevated platforms up to 40 feet and outside normal work hours when required.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, follow ISO and safety procedures, and communicate clearly in the primary workplace language.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Journey mold maker qualification.
