Electrical Engineer (Automation)

What you will do

• Define, design, test, document, and release new electrical products.
• Design electrical and control systems for fluid applicators, fluid management systems, automation machines, and customer line-control interfaces.
• Develop and execute test plans to verify safety, regulatory compliance, quality, and performance.
• Follow the phase-gate and nVision processes while meeting project milestones, cost targets, and quality expectations.
• Integrate electrical designs with mechanical and software engineering teams.
• Support product specifications, prototype builds, beta testing, manufacturing design, customer discussions, and project meetings.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering plus 4–7 years of experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Required experience with Altium Designer or an equivalent tool.
• Experience with electrical engineering principles, control systems, sensors, measuring devices, and automation.
• Strong project management, planning, coordination, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across engineering, operations, product management, customers, and regional teams.
• Ability to work onsite in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Nice to have

• Phase-gate and project management experience.
• Experience developing and launching new products.
• Customer interaction and factory visit experience.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, especially SAP.
