Financial Counseling Specialist (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Location: Onsite at Tower - Reading Hospital in West Reading, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $18.65–$19.90 per hour, based on experience

What you will do

• Assess and collect patient liabilities, including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, previous balances, and balances after financial assistance.
• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, authorizations, payor sources, and patient financial information.
• Complete patient pre-registration and registration tasks, including collecting estimated liabilities at or before the time of service.
• Communicate face to face with inpatients, conduct follow-up calls, and send post-discharge payment letters.
• Support consent-to-treat, observation, Medicare notification, Medicaid, charity processing, and other registration activities.
• Run eligibility and census reports, monitor missed collection opportunities, and organize outpatient orders in revenue cycle systems.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
• Ability to work onsite at Tower - Reading Hospital in West Reading, Pennsylvania.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
