Analyst Charge Revenue Integrity (Charge Capture Auditor)

Location: Remote position associated with Waterbury, Connecticut; Albany and East Greenbush, New York; and Wilmington, Delaware

Salary: $21.5178–$32.2766 per hour

What you will do

• Research, collect, analyze, and report operational and revenue cycle data.
• Audit charge capture processes and identify missing, duplicate, late, or inaccurate charges.
• Verify CPT and ICD-10 documentation, modifiers, clinical records, and charge approvals.
• Oversee daily and monthly charge reconciliations for assigned departments, including supply and implant charges.
• Analyze denial-related charge issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend practical improvements.
• Educate providers and clinical colleagues on documentation, coding, and charging practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of relevant experience in a hospital or physician practice environment.
• Experience in revenue cycle, billing, coding, patient financial services, or charge control and capture.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, data entry, supply chain processes, healthcare operations, and billing and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to use multiple system applications, create reports, analyze data, and support process changes.
• Ability to work remotely from one of the listed United States locations.

Nice to have

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC, AAPC, CHC, or CHRI credentials or membership.
• Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
• Experience with charge capture, coding, compliance, and healthcare revenue integrity.
