Sr. Manager, Project Management (Automation)

Location: USA Remote with up to 50% travel to customer sites

Salary: $150,000–$206,800 base pay annually

What you will do

• Own a portfolio of customer projects, including prioritization, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Lead, develop, and manage Project Managers across the project portfolio.
• Own project execution customer relationships and serve as the escalation point for delivery issues.
• Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to align scope, resources, schedules, costs, and execution.
• Establish project delivery playbooks, safety practices, stage-gate governance, and execution controls for live customer sites.
• Define ownership and coordination with regional teams supporting major customer projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8 years of project or program management experience in industrial, distribution, manufacturing, automation, or similarly complex technical environments.
• At least 3 years of people leadership experience with direct-report responsibility.
• Experience managing concurrent projects, schedules, budgets, forecasts, risks, resources, and customer commitments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, field activities, technical risks, change control, and live operating environments.
• Proficiency with project and enterprise systems such as Smartsheet, SAP, or comparable tools; PMP or PgMP is preferred.
