Assistant Divisional Financial Controller (Financial Reporting & Controls)

What you will do

• Manage accurate and timely monthly, half-year, and year-end financial reporting for the division.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity through provisions, reconciliations, accounting estimates, and impairment testing.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support the application of accounting standards, statutory requirements, and corporate policies.
• Manage and improve the internal control framework, coordinate internal audits, and resolve audit findings.
• Lead external auditor engagement and coordinate divisional audit requirements.
• Support transfer pricing, tax compliance, statutory reporting, financial analysis, and finance process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Professionally qualified accountant with CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent certification.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in financial reporting, balance sheet management, controls, and audit processes.
• Experience working in a global or matrix organisation, preferably in a multinational manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, and complex financial analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, QAD, or similar platforms.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle CPM, Hyperion, IBM Cognos PAX, or similar consolidation and reporting tools.
• Experience leading finance transformation and process improvement projects.
• Knowledge of transfer pricing and international statutory reporting requirements.
