Mid-level Systems Engineer (Microsoft 365)

What you will do

• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, corporate SaaS applications, identities, groups, roles, licenses, and integrations.
• Implement secure MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, least-privilege access, privileged-account controls, and regular access reviews.
• Own technical onboarding, role changes, offboarding, device provisioning, account lifecycle processes, and access revocation.
• Manage Windows endpoints, patching, security baselines, asset inventories, hardware replacement, and compliance reporting.
• Provide employee support, meet SLAs, maintain a knowledge base, manage incidents, and resolve recurring issues at their root.
• Maintain audit-ready IT controls and evidence for ISO 27001 or SOC 2 environments while improving automation, documentation, and service standardization.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in Internal IT and/or Systems Administration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Windows endpoints, and Windows Server.
• PowerShell or equivalent automation experience.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP, routing, least privilege, patching, endpoint protection, and access controls.
• Experience with IT asset management, troubleshooting, incident management, documentation, and runbooks.
• Structured problem solving, clear communication with colleagues of different technical levels, and end-to-end ownership of processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, Apple or macOS device management, and Azure administration.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or Jira Service Management.
• Experience working in an ISO 27001 or SOC 2 environment.
