Product Owner

Location: Hybrid work with 3 days in the office; offices available in Toronto, Canada, or Madrid, Spain. Occasional travel to client offices may be required.

Client-sponsored software projects are delivered through cross-functional product teams focused on customer value and Agile execution.

What you will do

• Define and communicate requirements and business value with clients, solution engineering, and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain Product Requirements Documents, Statements of Work, product documentation, and release materials.
• Build, maintain, and prioritize a backlog of ready-to-work items for Sprint Planning.
• Define acceptance criteria and accept completed User Stories based on the Definition of Done.
• Contribute to product vision, strategy, roadmap, release planning, and Product Increment objectives.
• Lead PI planning and participate in Agile ceremonies, Sprint Reviews, demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of industry experience as a Product Owner in an Agile software development environment.
• Understanding of Agile product management principles and Scrum; CSPO certification or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence or similar tools, SQL, and APIs.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Figma Make to create product artifacts.
• Business or technical degree.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.

Nice to have

• Product Owner experience in a professional services organization delivering software solutions for clients.
• Experience in WealthTech, FinTech, or enterprise software.
• Knowledge of wealth management services such as advisory and discretionary management.
• Experience adapting quickly to new business domains or personal experience trading stocks and making investment decisions.
