Bilingual Software Product Owner (Healthcare)

Location: 100% remote, based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada

What you will do

• Manage and optimize the technical backlog in alignment with product strategy, technical roadmaps, and business objectives.
• Translate business needs, customer feedback, and product priorities into user stories, acceptance criteria, and deliverable increments.
• Define sprint objectives, prioritize work, and support progressive delivery through SAFe/Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with development, QA, solution design, business, portfolio, and UX stakeholders to coordinate delivery and resolve dependencies.
• Manage critical bugs, system fixes, incidents, risks, and blockers while maintaining product stability and quality.
• Gather end-user feedback, validate delivered work, and promote continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

• Fluency in French and English, both oral and written, is required.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Product Owner, Scrum Master, or in a similar Agile role.
• Experience managing and prioritizing a team backlog using Jira, Azure DevOps, or an equivalent tool.
• Experience with PI planning or similar cross-team planning activities and a strong understanding of Agile delivery practices.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, quality practices, product delivery, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Interest or experience in actuarial science, pension plans, insurance, or financial services, or the ability to learn a complex specialized domain quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAFe or another large-scale Agile methodology.
• Experience delivering complex software products or digital solutions.
• Previous experience with legacy systems or actuarial architectures.
