Focus on analyzing complex access barriers, educating customers, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and resolving patient coverage challenges across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina territory, including Charlotte and Greensboro, NC, and Roanoke, VA; permanent residence in the listed territory required. Field-based role with up to 50% of time onsite with healthcare providers and up to 75% travel.

What you will do
- Educate healthcare providers and office staff on reimbursement processes, claims submissions, coding, payer procedures, and access requirements.
- Serve as the field expert for patient access, fulfillment, reimbursement, and affordability across assigned accounts.
- Identify and resolve complex access barriers using account data, market insights, and creative problem-solving.
- Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and internal functions across J&J.
- Build customer relationships, manage territory logistics and routing, and plan account activity.
- Maintain knowledge of payer coverage, coding, payment policies, hub services, and specialty distribution channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare, business, or public administration.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in account management, reimbursement, managed care, revenue cycle, or provider-office operations.
- Expertise in pharmacy and medical benefits, buy-and-bill, coding, billing, prior authorization, and appeals.
- Experience working with patient support hub services and collaborating across matrix organizations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, relationship-building, and follow-through skills.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and permanent residence in the listed territory required.
Nice to have
- Neuroscience disease-state experience.
- Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization, billing, or coding.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private payer initiatives, and pharmaceutical reimbursement policies.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Interest in emerging technologies such as AI.
