Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; territory includes Boston, Providence, Lynn, and Cambridge. Permanent residence in the listed territory is required. The role involves up to 50% on-site time with healthcare providers and up to 75% travel.

Base pay: $102,000–$177,100 per year.

What you will do

  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on reimbursement processes, claims submission, coding, coverage, and payer requirements.
  • Provide field-based access, fulfillment, reimbursement, and affordability support for neuroscience therapies.
  • Analyze account data and resolve patient access barriers, including prior authorization, billing, and appeals issues.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and internal PECS functions.
  • Build customer relationships, manage territory logistics, and plan account activities.
  • Maintain expertise in payer policies, market dynamics, hub services, and specialty distribution channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare, business, or public administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in account management, reimbursement, managed care, or provider-office operations.
  • Expertise in pharmacy and medical benefits, buy-and-bill, coding, billing, prior authorization, and appeals.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid US driver’s license, compliant driving record, and permanent residence in the listed territory required.

Nice to have

  • Neuroscience disease-state experience.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization, billing, or coding.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private payer initiatives, and payer policy.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI.
