Process Technician (Injection Molding)

Location: Chatham, NY, USA; onsite position with alternating swing shifts or a straight third shift.

Hourly pay: $30.56–$34.01, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Start up injection molding machines according to documented standard processes and meet key process deliverables.
• Inspect molds and machines for wear, damage, or defects and perform basic troubleshooting before escalating issues to maintenance or tooling teams.
• Set up and maintain molds, machines, and the production area to support reliable equipment performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with maintenance, material handling, inspection, packing, and quality control teams to meet product specifications.
• Maintain accurate process documentation and communicate production data and learnings across shifts and departments.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies while working on shift.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of hands-on injection molding processing experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to set up molds and understand material handling practices and equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn hydraulic and electrical circuits, tool design, and robot logic programming.
• Ability to read technical drawings and setup sheets and solve production problems with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment up to 50 pounds or more with assistance and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.

Nice to have

• RJG, Paulson, or other formal injection molding training.
• Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and other mold-handling equipment.
