Senior Accounting Manager (Defense)

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Oversee general ledger operations, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Manage and coach accounting staff while promoting accountability and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and internal controls.
• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and business units on reporting and analysis.
• Support audits, technical accounting matters, complex transactions, system upgrades, and process modernization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Clearable U.S. citizenship is required.
• 8+ years of accounting experience; government contracting experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Experience in a corporate controller’s organization within a mid-to-large enterprise.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required; Deltek Costpoint experience is a plus.
