Location: Heidelberg, Germany; full-time role with flexible working arrangements and campus-based benefits.

Salary: from EUR 4,713.20 per month after tax, excluding 12.99% personal pension and insurance contributions; additional benefits and allowances apply.

What you will do

• Provide strategic and operational HR guidance across policies, practices, people plans, and the employee lifecycle.
• Advise and coach managers, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and support effective and inclusive team staffing.
• Analyse people metrics and trends to identify workforce priorities and improve decision-making.
• Develop solutions for performance, employee development, talent recognition, and complex people issues.
• Collaborate across HR on integrated people projects and processes that improve employee experience.
• Drive HR technology adoption, new process implementation, and organisational change management.

Requirements

• Degree-level education and a professional qualification or apprenticeship in Human Resources Management, Public or Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong HR business partnering experience with project management, analytical, problem-solving, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using data and metrics to support decisions and measure programme effectiveness.
• Knowledge of employment legislation, HR compliance, and current HR best practices.
• Experience navigating conflict and implementing HR initiatives for diverse, dispersed, and dynamic teams.
• Ability to work in Heidelberg, Germany and collaborate with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Workday.
• Knowledge of HR processes in international organisations.
• Experience in a multicultural or science-focused organisation.
• Knowledge of another European language, such as French, German, Italian, or Spanish.
