Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer (GitHub)

What you will do

• Contribute to the discovery, design, automation, pilot migration, migration waves, cutover, validation, rollback, and stabilization of an enterprise GitHub transformation.
• Plan and execute GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Organization migrations involving 2,000+ repositories.
• Migrate repositories, workflows, runners, permissions, environments, variables, secrets, GitHub Apps, webhooks, OAuth integrations, and OIDC configurations.
• Build migration automation using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
• Support AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and related platform integrations.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure platform stability and successful validation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, including strong recent experience with GitHub and CI/CD.
• Hands-on administration of GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Organizations at enterprise scale.
• Experience with enterprise repository and workflow migrations, GitHub Actions, runners, workflow reconfiguration, OIDC, GitHub Apps, webhooks, and OAuth.
• Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and AWS infrastructure.
• Scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, or equivalent technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with migrations involving hundreds or thousands of repositories.
• Experience with GitOps and FluxCD.
• Experience with AWS CodeBuild, Git submodules, complex repository dependencies, SSO or identity migration, and migration tooling.
