Senior Platform Engineer (AWS AgentCore Gateway)

What you will do

• Develop and operate agent communication and routing services with AWS AgentCore Gateway and Python.
• Design agent discovery, registration, invocation, routing, and enforcement mechanisms.
• Build secure A2A communication workflows and gateway topologies for single-tenant and multi-tenant environments.
• Implement OAuth 2.0, SigV4, governance, access control, routing policies, and traffic management.
• Perform performance testing, load analysis, capacity planning, and security assessments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production platforms while contributing to architecture, documentation, and engineering standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, backend engineering, or a related field.
• Production experience with agent-to-agent or agent-to-tool gateway platforms, including AWS AgentCore Gateway or comparable solutions.
• Experience operating production multi-agent systems with agent-to-agent communication.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, identity-based routing, cloud-native API platforms, and distributed systems.
• Strong Python development experience and understanding of A2A concepts, agent discovery, invocation lifecycles, and trust models.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, highly available services, with knowledge of performance optimization, reliability engineering, and operational practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS AgentCore Gateway enforcement models and AWS AgentCore Runtime multi-agent invocation patterns.
• Experience defining governance frameworks and enterprise standards for agent-to-agent communication.
• Knowledge of LangGraph or CrewAI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with platform observability, monitoring, operational analytics, AI governance, security controls, or compliance.
