TL;DR
Senior Observability/DevOps Engineer (Datadog/AWS/Kubernetes): Migrating a large-scale Datadog environment to a standalone organization and building a scalable observability platform with an accent on monitoring, logging, integrations, security configurations, and automation. Focus on automating migration with the Datadog API, CLI, and Terraform, validating monitoring parity, and stabilizing AWS and Kubernetes integrations.
Location: Brasília, Federal District, Brazil; remote work supported through a work-from-anywhere culture.

What you will do
- Plan and execute the migration of a large-scale Datadog environment from a child organization to a standalone organization.
- Migrate monitors, dashboards, SLOs, log pipelines, indexes, archives, and retention configurations.
- Move and configure Datadog integrations, Agents, API keys, RBAC, SAML/SSO, and SCIM.
- Automate migration activities using the Datadog API, CLI, and Terraform Datadog Provider.
- Validate monitoring, observability, and security configurations before cutover.
- Support AWS and Kubernetes/EKS integrations, troubleshoot migration issues, and stabilize the platform.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in observability, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on Datadog implementation, administration, and migration experience.
- Experience with Datadog organization and account migrations, including parent/child and multi-organization environments.
- Strong experience with the Datadog API, CLI, Terraform Datadog Provider, monitors, dashboards, SLOs, Agents, APM, and distributed tracing.
- Experience with Datadog Log Management, AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, CI/CD, and automation integrations.
- Experience with RBAC, SAML/SSO, SCIM, and API/application key management, including rotation and access controls.
Nice to have
- Datadog Certified Professional certification.
- Datadog partner, consulting, or enterprise observability architecture experience.
- Experience with Datadog Synthetics, Private Locations, CSPM/security monitoring, and integrations with PagerDuty, Slack, ServiceNow, or webhooks.
- Experience validating monitoring parity in dual-running environments before cutover.
