DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Fully remote; async-friendly with regular syncs.

Outsourcing company providing embedded DevOps expertise to a fast-growing AdTech SaaS client operating at scale on AWS.

What you will do

• Manage and evolve AWS infrastructure, including EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, OpenSearch, Cognito, and SES.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD and develop infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and Terraform Cloud.
• Support Kubernetes clusters using Karpenter autoscaling and Bottlerocket OS.
• Implement security initiatives including MFA enforcement, WAF configuration, branch protection, GPG commit signing, and ISO 27001 compliance activities.
• Monitor systems with Datadog, respond to incidents, manage AWS Bedrock integrations, and support AI-powered services.
• Provision environments, manage access, support developers, and contribute to AWS cost optimization and monthly cost reporting.

Requirements

• Experience with ArgoCD or other GitOps tools.
• Solid knowledge of AWS core services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, and EKS.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
• Comfort working in Linux environments and with CLI tooling.
• Strong written English is required for daily communication with client stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, ask effective questions, and take ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with Datadog or similar observability platforms.
• Knowledge of AWS security services such as WAF, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
• Experience with ElastiCache, OpenSearch, Databricks, ISO 27001, SOC 2, AWS Bedrock, or AI/ML infrastructure.
