What you will do
- Handle and investigate complex casualty claims in line with best-practice guidelines and quality standards.
- Manage claims with a client-focused approach, aiming for optimal total cost and outcomes.
- Interpret policy wording and apply relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, brokers, experts, external lawyers, and the Casualty management team.
- Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.
- Contribute to and occasionally lead operational, strategic, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience handling Employers Liability and/or Public Liability claims; Casualty experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment for casualty claims.
- Ability to make accurate and timely decisions.
- Strong policy language interpretation, communication, time management, administration, and report-writing skills.
- Customer-focused mindset, lateral thinking, problem-solving ability, and interest in improving working practices.
