Senior Java Developer (Tax Administration)

What you will do

• Implement and maintain Java software components according to design specifications.
• Develop and support a complex tax administration system covering tax declarations, calculations, assessments, and external integrations.
• Perform system integration, unit testing, troubleshooting, incident analysis, and resolution.
• Estimate project efforts and delivery timelines while collaborating with stakeholders and distributed teams.
• Provide technical input to product roadmaps and participate in triage activities.
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes for a microservices-based platform.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases, REST/SOAP integrations, and messaging systems such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Good understanding of software testing principles.
• Confident English communication is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular front-end development.
• German or Swiss German language skills.
