Senior Software Development Engineer (OLTP)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and operate the distributed shared storage layer for a mission-critical OLTP database.
• Define solutions for storage engine design, durability and consistency protocols, read-path caching, and backpressure under load.
• Design how committed transactions are materialized to cloud object storage and how superseded data is reclaimed.
• Own end-to-end feature delivery, including technical design, production-quality implementation, deployment, and operational readiness.
• Build monitoring, alarming, and automation for high-throughput services and participate in on-call rotations.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and collaboration on complex system problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Professional, non-internship software development experience, including development within the last three years.
• Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, with object-oriented design.
• Experience leading architecture and design for reliable, scalable systems.
• Knowledge of databases, storage, and big data concepts.
• Experience with debugging, profiling, performance and scalability testing, and software engineering operations.
