Associate Data Engineer (Math/Physics/Science/Engineering Graduates)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work model. Six-month temporary discovery phase with an option for a permanent role.

What you will do

• Maintain and optimize high-volume data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Manage connections with Google Ads, Bing, Meta, and other marketing APIs.
• Support automated campaign restructuring for hotels and SEM alerting tools.
• Transform travel signals into production-ready marketing models for Data Scientists and SEM managers.
• Document technical processes and contribute to operational knowledge.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another scientific field.
• Basic understanding of Python or SQL and strong motivation to develop these skills.
• Analytical problem-solving approach and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to learn technical concepts and business logic quickly.
• Curiosity about AI and data-driven marketing technology.
• Proficiency in English required; Barcelona-based hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with dbt, Dagster, Google Cloud, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Vertex AI, Fivetran, or marketing APIs.
