Director, Labor & Employee Relations

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of Employee Relations professionals across Europe.
• Act as the escalation point for complex, high-risk, and sensitive employee relations matters.
• Partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and stakeholders on workplace issues, risk mitigation, and consistent employee relations practices.
• Develop and standardize employee relations policies, procedures, toolkits, governance practices, and case management processes.
• Oversee case reporting, trend analysis, and root-cause identification to drive data-informed improvements.
• Support complex reduction-in-force initiatives and related employee relations programs across operating businesses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Employment Relations, Law, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, HR business partnering, employment law, or a related HR discipline.
• 3+ years of experience leading Human Resources or Employee Relations professionals.
• Experience supporting a global or multi-country workforce and managing complex employee relations investigations and escalations.
• Working knowledge of employment law and employee relations practices in one or more European jurisdictions.
• Experience supporting works councils, labor unions, or similar employee representative bodies.

Nice to have

• Juris Doctor or advanced degree in Human Resources, Employment Relations, or a related field.
• Experience leading employee relations transformation, standardization, or shared-services initiatives.
• Experience with HRIS, case management systems, and reporting tools.
• Experience in footprint, workforce planning, or M&A projects.
