Senior PD, Landmark Series, NHU (Natural History)

Location: Bridgewater House, Bristol, United Kingdom — hybrid working

Salary: £66,100–£91,500 per year, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

What you will do

• Lead teams across two episodes from research and development through sequence capture.
• Identify compelling, achievable character-led wildlife stories and create storyboards and narratives.
• Work with the series producer and executive producer to deliver the editorial brief and creative direction.
• Plan schedules, budgets and resources while managing the logistics of complex shoots.
• Oversee editorial research, production standards, health and safety, and duty of care for teams, animals, locations and the environment.

Requirements

• Experience producing at least two sequence-based major landmark films or a blue-chip broadcast series.
• Strong people-management, communication, delegation and team-support skills, including experience with large teams.
• Proven ability to solve problems, manage budgets and collaborate with production management.
• Resilience and stamina to manage two episodes simultaneously under pressure.
• Ability to work in the Bristol hybrid setup.

Nice to have

• Experience working with presenters and on-screen contributors.
• Strong writing skills for programme overviews, scripts and story pitches.
• Specialist knowledge of Africa and its wildlife, including experience in challenging environments.
• Experience delivering digital, social and promotional assets.
