Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Singapore; at least 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable software solutions in collaboration with product, design, data, QA, operations, and compliance stakeholders.
• Participate in system design, architecture, project estimation, and technical documentation.
• Develop, maintain, debug, and review code for products, services, and software components.
• Create test plans, configure testing procedures, and resolve defects across multiple features.
• Respond to support requests during on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, and deploy fixes.
• Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance using modern developer tools, cloud services, automation, and AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing or implementing web-based or mobile applications.
• Experience with system design and architecture, debugging, code reviews, coding standards, test planning, and support fixes.
• Expertise in Core Java, JEE, REST, and container-based technologies.
• Experience with backend technologies including JDBC, JMS, Spring, Hibernate, JMX, SQL, and relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD-oriented solution architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.

• Experience with Git and test automation tools.
• Experience in the payments industry and related technologies.
• Advanced degree and additional professional experience.
