Senior Java Developer (E-Commerce/Accounting SaaS)

Location: Remote in the EU; Germany specified. No office presence required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain billing applications and invoice-generation features using Java.
• Architect highly concurrent, multi-threaded application logic with a focus on memory efficiency and system stability.
• Own infrastructure and DevOps work to improve scalability, reliability, and system maintenance.
• Use and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, including Bigtable.
• Design and maintain API integrations using modern standards such as Swagger and OpenAPI.
• Implement and manage cloud solutions, with GCP preferred.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with strong Java expertise.
• Proven experience with asynchronous environments and multi-threaded application logic.
• Experience owning infrastructure and ensuring system scalability and reliability.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Git, continuous deployment pipelines such as GitLab, agile planning, and code reviews.
• Experience with AI coding tools and willingness to drive AI adoption in the development process.
