TL;DR
Solution Engineer (AI/API): Supporting enterprise and strategic customers with Kong API Management and Connectivity solutions across the technical sales lifecycle, with an accent on pre-sales engineering, proof-of-concept delivery, and customer onboarding. Focus on presenting to executive stakeholders, designing technical solutions, coordinating implementation requirements, and applying cloud, open-source, and DevOps technologies.
Location: Remote, supporting Enterprise and Strategic accounts in the UAE region
Company
is building an AI connectivity layer through a unified API and AI platform for securing, managing, accelerating, governing, and monetizing API and AI traffic.
What you will do
- Support field sales by explaining the value of API Management and Connectivity solutions.
- Build trusted customer relationships from discovery and requirements gathering through product reviews, demonstrations, and production.
- Support proof-of-concept evaluations and onboard and train new customers.
- Coordinate with support, product, and engineering teams to prioritize customer needs across assigned accounts.
- Create technical documentation for DevOps, implementations, and services engagements.
- Generate leads through blog posts, webinars, industry events, and other activities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of pre-sales Solution Engineering or relevant experience at a SaaS, open-source, or enterprise software company.
- Experience working with open-source technology and understanding of API management, integration, cloud computing trends, and open-source business models.
- Ability to present and lead discussions with C-level and Director-level executives, Product Managers, and Engineers.
- Ability to support technical sales cycles, proof-of-concept evaluations, customer onboarding, and technical documentation.
- Interest in working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with API Gateway or Service Mesh.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of NGINX, HTTP, AWS, Postgres, Cassandra, Linux, DevOps, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with DCOS/Mesos and Docker Swarm.
