Legal Counsel (Aerospace Technology)

Location: On-site in Gilching, Bavaria, Germany

Developer and manufacturer of small unmanned aerial systems, including electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft with edge computing and real-time AI-powered data processing for defence, security, and public-sector applications.

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage customer, supplier, development, licensing, and cooperation agreements in German and English.
• Advise Procurement, Sales, R&D, Product, Operations, and corporate functions on commercial and corporate legal matters.
• Support the protection, management, and enforcement of patents, trademarks, copyrights, know-how, and licensing activities.
• Identify legal risks, develop pragmatic solutions, and ensure compliance with business objectives.
• Develop legal templates, policies, internal processes, and contract database documentation.
• Conduct legal research and support corporate matters, financing activities, strategic projects, and regulatory monitoring.

Requirements

• Fully qualified lawyer, Business Law degree, or comparable legal qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in an international company and/or law firm.
• Strong expertise in commercial and contract law, with practical business-advisory skills.
• Experience in intellectual property, licensing, technology-related legal matters, or demonstrated interest in developing expertise in these areas.
• Structured, independent, hands-on working style with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Business-fluent German and English, written and spoken, are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with corporate legal topics, strategic projects, financing activities, or autonomous systems.
