Solution Architect Data Marketplace

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, Netherlands; balance between home and office work.

Salary: €5,030–€7,183 gross per month for a 36-hour work week.

What you will do

• Own and develop the architectural vision and roadmap for Data Marketplace and Data Catalog capabilities.
• Translate business and product requirements into secure, scalable end-to-end solutions.
• Define how colleagues discover, understand, and request access to trusted data.
• Evaluate emerging technologies through structured research and proofs of concept, including responsible AI applications for search, recommendations, and automation.
• Guide delivery teams and coach engineers and multidisciplinary stakeholders in implementing architectural decisions.
• Make risks and trade-offs transparent while addressing security, privacy, compliance, dependencies, and technical debt.

Requirements

• Proven Solution Architect experience or equivalent architectural responsibility in a complex enterprise environment.
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions, target architectures, and architectural roadmaps.
• Experience with data catalogue or data marketplace platforms, preferably Collibra.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across business, architecture, governance, and engineering.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical decisions.
• Strategic and pragmatic decision-making skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions and manage ambiguity.
