TL;DR

Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript, ecommerce marketplace): Building reliable, responsive web experiences for buyers, sellers, and internal teams on top of scalable microservices with an accent on accessibility, performance, and product experimentation. Focus on designing maintainable frontend architecture, optimizing production applications, validating ideas through A/B testing, and collaborating across engineering, QA, design, and product.

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands; minimum two days per week at the Amsterdam HQ. Only candidates already based in the Netherlands are being considered.

hirify.global is a product company operating a curated marketplace for buying and selling special objects, with more than 100,000 items auctioned weekly.

What you will do

Build and improve product experiences for buyers, sellers, customer service, and internal operations teams.
Create responsive and accessible web frontends using TypeScript and React on top of scalable microservices.
Measure and optimize product performance across desktop, tablet, and mobile experiences.
Run A/B tests and use data analysis to validate ideas and iterate on product solutions.
Design, deploy, monitor, and manage production applications with a focus on availability, latency, consistency, and observability.
Collaborate with backend, frontend, mobile, QA, UX, product, and engineering leadership teams.

Requirements

Extensive frontend engineering experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a strong portfolio of frontend deliveries.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, HTTP/S, the Critical Rendering Path, CORS, caching, and CDNs.
Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React, Next, Redux, CSS Modules, Tailwind, or Rails.
Experience working in product companies and autonomous, cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of accessibility, security, SEO, performance, testing, observability, internationalization, SOLID, and DRY principles.
Must already be based in the Netherlands; visa sponsorship and relocation support are not available.

Nice to have

Familiarity with Node and experience running it in production.
