TL;DR
Field Reimbursement Manager (Neuroscience) (Market Access/Reimbursement): Supporting healthcare providers and their staff with reimbursement education, access troubleshooting, and patient affordability solutions across pharmacy and medical benefits with an accent on coding, billing, prior authorization, appeals, and payer requirements. Focus on resolving complex access barriers, analyzing reimbursement data, and coordinating field-based support across a multi-city U.S. territory.

Location: Washington, D.C. territory, including Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD, Richmond, VA, and Arlington, VA; permanent residence in the listed territory required. Up to 50% on-site with healthcare providers and up to 75% travel.

Salary: $102,000–$177,100 per year

What you will do

  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on reimbursement processes, claims submission, coding, payer requirements, and access pathways.
  • Provide field-based reimbursement, access, fulfillment, and affordability support for Neuroscience therapies.
  • Resolve complex access barriers involving Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, commercial payers, prior authorizations, appeals, and benefit design.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and internal J&J functions.
  • Build trusted relationships with assigned accounts and manage territory routing, logistics, and business planning.
  • Maintain knowledge of payer policies, market dynamics, hub services, and specialty distribution channels while following legal and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare, business, or public administration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in account management, reimbursement, revenue cycle, provider-office operations, or managed care.
  • Expertise in pharmacy and medical benefits, buy-and-bill, coding, billing, prior authorization, and appeals.
  • Experience with patient support HUB services, relationship building, cross-functional collaboration, data analysis, and complex problem-solving.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and permanent residence in the listed territory required.

Nice to have

  • Neuroscience disease-state experience.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization, billing, or coding.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private payer initiatives, and pharmaceutical reimbursement.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI.
