Senior Scientist, Membrane Protein Biochemistry

What you will do

• Design and implement recombinant production strategies for polytopic membrane protein targets.
• Purify membrane proteins and perform detailed analytical characterization.
• Develop membrane protein platforms and capabilities supporting large-molecule and small-molecule therapeutic discovery.
• Conduct laboratory experiments with rigorous documentation and quality-focused deliverables.
• Analyze and communicate scientific data to audiences with diverse scientific backgrounds.
• Collaborate on methods, resources, timelines, and milestones while mentoring junior scientists and technical staff.

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or MD with relevant postdoctoral experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 3 years of relevant laboratory experience or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Expertise with KTA systems and analytical methods for membrane protein characterization.
• Experience with HPLC/UPLC, including SEC or fSEC, spectroscopy, or mass spectrometry.
• Strong scientific communication, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with rigorous documentation and quality standards.

Nice to have

• Relevant postdoctoral experience after a PhD.
• Scientific accomplishments demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications or patents.
• Experience in structural biology or membrane protein molecular pharmacology.
