Associate Scientist (Product Biochemistry)

Location: On-site in Tarrytown, New York, United States. Full-time standard business hours with on-site laboratory presence required; minimal to no travel.

Salary: $70,300–$110,100 annually.

What you will do

• Purify, characterize, modify, and conjugate protein and biomolecule reagents using laboratory and analytical procedures.
• Evaluate reagent identity, purity, stability, aggregation, binding properties, and fitness for intended use.
• Perform reagent labeling and modification activities supporting assay development, method qualification, and reagent supply.
• Conduct binding characterization studies using Surface Plasmon Resonance, Biacore, and other analytical platforms.
• Document experiments and analytical results in the electronic laboratory notebook and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and group meetings.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation while supporting laboratory safety and equipment practices.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field, with 3 or more years of experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, computer, and technical writing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects in a hands-on laboratory environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Tarrytown, New York, during standard business hours.

Nice to have

• Technical proficiency with automated FPLC or HPLC, including SEC, IEX, or affinity methods.
• Experience with electrophoresis, spectroscopy, and light scattering.
• Understanding of protein structure and function, protein-protein interactions, and general biochemistry.
• Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
